Automotive Engineering company credits Leeds based training company for industry award success.

Global engineering company VTL Group, has credited a Leeds based training business for the company’s success at the North East, Yorkshire & Humberside region's EEF Future Manufacturing Awards. Horsforth based Synaptic Change, created and implemented the staff development programme that helped VTL to be recognised as runners-up in the Skills and Training award category.

VTL Group HR and Communications Manager Caroline Cujic said: “There is no doubt that our strong partnership with Synaptic Change has led us to being recognised with this award. “Synaptic Change got to know our organisation, our people and our strategic objectives and created a bespoke programme that has helped us to build and harness the talents of our staff for better results and it is wonderful to be recognised for that. “It shows that you should never underestimate the importance of investing in your people and working with experienced and results driven trainers to do so. “We intend to continue to work with Synaptic Change to continue to improve performance.”

VTL, based in Huddersfield, was presented with the award during a special EEF regional celebration luncheon at Aldward Manor. Competition in the training skills category was tough with 10 entrants for judges to choose from. Director of Synaptic Change, Dianne McLaren said: “Success in business is the result of high performing people and we are delighted that our work on employee engagement, management development and leadership transformation has helped VTL to be recognised by the sector. “Our approach recognises that people really do make a difference and that is why we design training solutions that are completely bespoke to the needs of an organisation and the results they require.”

Synaptic Change built a comprehensive development programme for all levels of staff within VTL. This involved designing and delivering training for senior managers to new starters.
